3 questions for Emma Manitz

What do you like here?
I am completely integrated into the team here and can always ask anyone. Everyone is super helpful. Some of my colleagues have studied the same course at the same university. That's a big plus, because they can relate very well.

How did you come to ENEX?
Hartwig [Schröder, Head of HÖRMANN ENEX Engineering, editor's note] is also a lecturer at the Gerog Simon Ohm  University of Applied Science in Nuremberg, where I study energy process technology, and gives the lecture on geothermal energy there.

I found this subject really exciting and had a discussion with him. I'm now writing my bachelor's thesis at ENEX on the topic of "Waste heat utilization in geothermal co-generation plants".

Does it matter to you that you have the opportunity to work on a topic of the future here?
Yes, definitely. I found the topic of heat particularly exciting, as my degree course tends to be in process engineering. Heat is a very big topic and will continue to be in the future.

Geothermal energy offers a good renewable alternative in this area. My subjects at school were always math and physics, which is why I opted for a technical degree course. At the same time, I've always been passionate about topics such as the environment and climate protection. I can combine both here.
