Possible applications of large heat pumps in deep geothermal energy

ENEX POWER Germany once again took part in this year's Praxisforum Geothermie.Bayern with an exciting presentation. We are proud to have been represented by our colleague Emma Manitz in the series of lectures on medium-depth geothermal energy and large heat pumps.

The Praxisforum Geothermie Bayern took place this year on October 10 - 12, 2023 in the Bürgerhaus Pullach near Munich. The popular industry event for experts from science, business, politics and practice aims to shed light on possible solutions to the challenges posed by the energy and heat transition.

The German government has now also recognized that deep geothermal energy can make an important contribution to the energy transition. For this reason, several series of lectures in Pullach discussed exciting topics on the future of geothermal energy and presented new projects in the geothermal hotspot of Bavaria.

ENEX POWER Germany was represented by Emma Manitz, who presented the results of her thermodynamic simulation of different heat pump solutions in turbine exhaust steam. She showed that the electricity purchase price is a key factor for the economic efficiency of such systems.
